The heart of my work
facilitating Mother earth’s labour
Philosophy behind
Birthkeeping the Earth is both an inspiration behind my work & the lens through which I see our time.
The foundation of my offerings is
rooted in my own journey of transformation & healing, and a vision I carry of humanity remembering its place within the living web of Life. I believe, like many others, that our dear planet is going through a remarkable & rapid transformation - a great birth of consciousness
As I accompany women through the profound initiation of Motherhood, witnessing the transformation that comes with birthing a child, I see clear parallels to the process of holding space for the birth of a new consciousness emerging on Earth.A Collective Birth
Conception, gestation & birth always involve a death process - of letting go of the old, stepping into the unknown, surrendering & holding space for what is fragile & new with greater awareness and care.Individually & collectively, humanity is going through a strong purification of old ways that no longer serve us or nature.
This great death & rebirth guides us towards a way of being that is more sustainable for all of Creation, more aligned with the Spirit of our true nature.
It unfolds one birth, one awakening, one returning back home at a time. This process can be intense & painful, as we shed layers of conditioning, identifications & old belief systems.
Yet, like contractions in a birth, the challenges open us into a greater expansion; a return to our Essence, where our true light can shine through & Life can be lived more authentically My Role:
Supporting and facilitating these transitions so that the contractions can be navigated with more softness & ease, less suffering
My work is anchored in human connection & in a deepening relationship with the Spirit of all Life.I believe that greater wholeness comes through being connected to the body’s wisdom, nature connection & cultivating an embodied awareness of the Divine intelligence that breathes in everything alive.Through somatic awareness, devotional arts, meditative practices & radical compassion, I support spaces where Spirit & body can reconnect & where we can remember our belonging to Life. When we truly feel that belonging, we naturally begin to live in ways that serve the greater whole.more about Aida
Over the years, my path has unfolded into a multidisciplinary
body of work.
Some know me as a doula & birthkeeper;
others as a yoga & meditation teacher, forest therapy guide, ceremonialist,
movement artist, singer, facilitator, youth worker or therapeutic companion.
The branches are many, but the trunk is one.
Each service grows from the same foundation & devotion:
helping us remember who we are, reconnect with what is essential
& live in deeper relationship with ourselves, each other, the Earth,
the Sacred.
Deeply curious & fascinated by the human experience,
I've spent more than a decade walking a path of searching,
remembering & returning home, piecing together the fragments of my being,
weaving them into a greater sense of wholeness & learning to hold
that wholeness with presence.
Since early childhood, I carried a sensitivity that rarely felt like it had
a place in this world.
Growing up as a child of Persian parents in Norway,
I often found myself navigating between different cultures,
expectations, ways of being & ways of belonging.
I gradually learned to suppress parts
of myself in order to fit in & protect myself.
Over time, the strategies created distance between who I was & who
I believed I needed to be.
My journey back home has been anything but straightforward
or simple; a wild ride through strong currents and stormy seas,
driven by an unshakable longing to understand, feel whole & to live in deeper alignment with my essence.
Before this chapter of my life, I worked as an urban dancer, performer, teacher & choreographer.
Ironically, I spent years using my body while also being deeply disconnected from it.
My body spoke to me, but I didn't know how to listen.
As life unfolded I became aware of the ways I had learned to disconnect from myself in order to cope. That realiz I found myself increasingly drawn toward my spirituality which led me into a profound exploration of life beyond what could be seen.the door to a profound exploration of my spirituality & the unseen dimensions of life.
I immersed myself in meditation, yogic practice, prayer, ceremony, and years of learning alongside wisdom keepers, indigenous traditions and master plant teachers from different parts of the world; searching for a way of experiencing deeper relationship with life itself.
As meaningful as that journey has been & continues to be,
there came a point where I also realised I had dived so deep into
the multidimensional realms of Spirit,
that I lost some of my grounding in my body.
The real work became learning to bridge the two.
Through breath, movement, the embrace of the forest, the sound of my own voice opening, silence, prayer, somatic healing, selfless service & the ordinary moments of everyday life, I slowly began finding my way again.
Although I've been blessed with extraordinary teachers along the way, there were many moments when I longed for someone who could simply walk beside me & guide me through those transitions.
The support I offer today is that support I once longed for.
I love accompanying the miracle of pregnancy & physical birth & support the profound transformation that unfolds as a child enters the world.
But I also feel deeply called to accompany the many inner births we experience throughout life: the painful, beautiful process of shedding old identities
& remembering who we already are beneath conditioning, fear & survival.
I've come to understand that healing is less about becoming someone new
& more about returning to what has always been true.
Every time someone reconnects with their body, their truth & their place within the greater web of life, something in all of us heals & remembers.
Today, my work continues to evolve, just as I do.
I still dance whenever music moves me. I still travel great distances to learn from people, places & traditions that
carry ancient wisdom and a deep relationship with the Earth.
I sing when my heart is open & the channel feels alive.
And I continue to find myself humbled by the miracle of birth,
by birdsong at sunrise, by genuine encounters between people & by the quiet moments that remind me we belong to one another, to the living Earth & to Life itself.
The branches continue to grow, but the trunk remains the same.
Above all, I remain a humble student of the great Mystery that is Life.MY BACKGROUND
