Nature Therapy
A Return to PresenceNature offers us all of this.
Yet in our modern lives, it’s easy to walk through a forest while staying lost in thought or
disconnected from the very life surrounding us.This offering is an invitation to be guided into a deeper communion with the land & remember your belonging to the living world.
Using therapeutic methods of slowing down, awakening the senses, softening mental noise & returning to the felt experience of the present moment within the therapeutic container that is the forestI offer two pathways within this work:Shinrin-Yoku : Forest Bathing
A slow, sensory immersion & walking meditation in the forestForest Dance : Movement in Nature
A somatic movement journey where the forest/natural surroundings
become both the container & collaborator.Clarity. Connection. Remembrance. Renewal.
forest bathing
shinrin yoku
Developed in Japan, Shinrin-yoku means
“to bathe in the atmosphere of the forest.”
It is a deep sensory immersion that promotes presence, and attunement to the intelligence of nature.
With guidance, one is invited to step out of the thinking mind and into the felt experience of the forest seeing, listening, touching, smelling, tasting and receiving. The forest is both the therapy room and the therapist.
I am simply a guide, gently opening the door, inviting you in, to arrive with all of you.A Forest Bath experience invites you into a deeper relationship with nature which leaves space for inner nature awareness, recognizing subtle details around and inside you. Through soft guidance, simple invitations, and sacred pauses, we slowly transition from mind to the present body.
This transitioning
is a key moment in the journey.
We simply call it ‘the Shift.’Once you have landed through this portal of shift,
the forest reveals herself differently. Colors deepen. Sounds sharpen. Your senses awaken.
You begin to receive the forest and notice details. Maybe She has a message for you to receive. We allow nature to work on us, to cleanse, regulate, and restore. Some people experience receiving useful insights.
Each journey concludes with a tea ceremony,
which is a closing circle for integration & shared reflection, if desired. The walk includes:

Shinrin Yoku is a methodology that is science based and well researched.
it is no rocket science that nature heals,
But for anyone who needs science-backed words,
research shows that forest bathing:
Lowers stress and cortisol levels
Reduces blood pressure and heart rate
Regulates the nervous system (balance between relaxation and alertness)
Boosts immune function
Improves mood, reduces anxiety, and eases depression
Supports better sleep quality
Increases focus, clarity, and creativity
Strengthens the feeling of connection with nature and self.
movemeant in/with nature
Rooted in the principles of Shinrin-yoku, this experience begins with a grounding meditation and simple invitations to activate the senses & land deeply into the body.
Breath & sensory awareness are weaved with guided movement invitations. When we have landed deeply in the body, the journey continues into an intuitive & intimate exploration of movement & merging with nature.
In a state of aware connection with the Earth, we allow the natural world to be the inspiration communicated through us. Moving with the wind, flowing with the sound of water, grounding into the earth.
You may be by the forest, the sea, or the mountain.
The body becomes a vessel for the elements to move through.
The setting influences the rhythm and space.
We enter into a dialogue with it The experience can be felt as a mutual exchange, nature offering its inspiration, & us offering our movement back as a living prayer.
The experience includes:Sensory attunement meditationGentle breathworkGuided movement invitationsIntuitive dance with soundscapes (natural and brought)Practices to engage with the elements - earth, air, fire, and water as sources of inspiration.Movement as expression & offering to the landClosing circle tea ritual (around the fire if space and weather allows) ::: integration, shared reflections & honoring the experience:::
